No, you don't need a referral to visit any SpotDoc location. You can schedule an appointment directly through our website or by calling the location of your choice. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider.
During your first visit, you'll complete a brief health questionnaire and risk assessment. Then, you'll undergo a full-body scan using our Vectra 360° imaging system, which takes less than a second. A dermatologist or trained healthcare provider will review your images, discuss any areas of concern, and recommend next steps. The entire appointment typically takes 30-45 minutes.
Many insurance plans cover skin cancer screening services. Coverage varies by location type and insurance provider. Our flagship clinic in Florida accepts most major insurance plans. Partnership clinics have their own insurance policies. Concierge services are typically self-pay.
